Lets face it, 30 Rock was the greatest show on TV. We still burn through marathons of the entire series on Netflix every few months. So the anticipation for Tina Fey and Robert Carlock’s new series The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is almost killing us. The new series, originally intended for NBC, premieres next month on Netflix, and stars The Office actress Ellie Kemper in the title role. However, its the return of 30 Rock alumni Jane Krakowski (Jenna Maroney) that has us praising the Kabbalah Monster.
In the new series, Jane Krakowski plays Jacqueline Voorhees, a wealthy mother, who employes Ellie Kemper’s titular character, Kimmy Schmidt as a nanny.
Recently, Jane Krakowski opened up to Bustle about how Jaqueline Voorhees differs from 30 Rock character Jenna Maroney:
“I’ve always approached the characters very differently. There was a day when Tina just broke it down for me and said, ’Well Jenna was a horrible person,’ -- which was good to learn after we finished wrapping five seasons -- ‘And Jacqueline, at her core, is not.’”
