Sean Penn may not have officially acknowledged his engagement to Mad Max starlet Charlize Theron, but the Mystic River Oscar winner certainly seems to bristle when folks refer to the South African sex-symbol as just his girlfriend. According to the latest gossip news updates, Penn insisted that Charlie was the love of his life when recently questioned about it in an interview. Word has it that Penn's ex-wife Robin Wright is once again engaged to former fiancé, Ben Foster. The House of Cards blonde bombshell set the Hollywood gossip mills' wheels in motion when she showed up with the Lone Survivor actor at the Golden Globes after they had publicly split, and now it's being reported that Ben and Robin are once again looking to get married.
Charlize Theron and her Hollywood beau, Sean Penn, have been pretty coy when discussing their official relationship status, but the 54-year-old activist wants the world to know that regardless of what they've heard the Monster actress is not his girlfriend (via People):
"No, no, excuse me, Charlize is not my girlfriend...She's the love of my life.
"We have a very strong relationship...have known each other for a very long time. But we weren't together."
Word has it that Sean's ex-wife, Robin Wright, has also completely made up with her old boyfriend, Ben Foster, who she dumped last year after their hectic schedules reportedly forced them apart for weeks at a time.
A source close to the couple relayed to Us Weekly that Robin was once again looking to add a hyphen to her surname, now that she and Ben figured out how to get to the same place at the same time:
"They are fully back together and really happy.
"Ben is the nicest guy. She knows she has a keeper. It is worth it to be with a guy like this who really cares about her so much.
"There were a bunch of issues before, a lot because of distance and her schedule, but they are working on them."
This will be the third and fourth marriage to Robin and Sean respectively, so let's hope all that past practice will help to make these new unions something truly special.
