"The Little Prince," adapted from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's famous novel, will make its debut at the London Coliseum this spring.
The UK premiere celebrates the 80th anniversary of the novel's original French publication and comes after successful runs in Paris, Sydney, Dubai, and on Broadway.
According to Anne Tournié, director and choreographer, during the announcement of the Broadway opening two years ago, "We are thrilled for our company to continue The Little Prince's world journey to London."
"On his journey, the Little Prince shares a message of humanity with the many different people and cultures he encounters."
"We are humbled to bring his story of friendship, loneliness, love, and caring for others and our planet back to the melting pot where Antoine de Saint-Exupéry first created this beloved tale."
With over 200 million copies sold and translations in 250 languages, "The Little Prince" stands as the second-most translated book in contemporary history.
"The Little Prince" follows a young prince as he goes to different planets and face challenges of love, loss, aloneness, and companionship.
"The Little Prince" in the UK will be acted via a French dialogue but will be accompanied by English surtitles. General ticket sales for the production will begin on November 29, according to per BroadwayWorld. The outlet also reported that the creative team includes original music by Terry Truck; video design by Marie Jumelin; costume design by Peggy Housset; lighting design by Stéphane Fritsch; sound design by Tristan Viscogliosi; video projection by Etienne Beaussart; hair and makeup by Carmen Arbues Miro; and props by Aurélie Gandilhon.
The stage production will feature a unique blend of dance, aerial acrobatics, and video mapping technology.
