"Hell's Kitchen" on Broadway has revealed a new collaboration with Keep a Child Alive (KCA).
The production, a nominee for the 2024 Best Musical Tony Award, has contributed a generous sum of $1 million so far to support the nonprofit organization. KCA is dedicated to offering crucial healthcare, shelter, and other vital resources to children living in areas affected by AIDS in Africa and India.
Alicia Keys, a key figure behind the music composition for "Hell's Kitchen," is also one of the founders of this impactful charity.
Keys, along with Antonio Ruiz-Giménez, the executive chair and CEO of KCA, took to the stage to reveal a significant donation milestone on October 17.
18,250 kids, who are vulnerable due to being orphans or living in poverty, will benefit from the initial impact of the program in Asia and Africa. Services include education, food assistance, HIV healthcare, clothing, critical medical treatment, and other forms of support to improve their well-being and opportunities for a better future.
The Grammy-winning singer said, "This is the impact that you are making. This is just the beginning! We are not slowing up — this is the power of this show, this is the purpose of remembering where dreams begin. And I just want to thank you for being a part of this moment. Keep giving, keep loving, keep coming!"
With each ticket purchase for "Hell's Kitchen," a contribution of $1 will be given to KCA. This collaboration involves matching donations and will be ongoing throughout the duration of the production.
The musical dives into Ali's journey of uncovering her hidden talent for playing the piano while going through the complexities of claiming her independence from her mother.
