2 Chainz Hangs With Colin Kaepernick and Cam Newton at All-Style Fashion Show After Forgoing NBA Career

2 Chainz is one of the hottest rappers on the planet right now. In recent news, he was spotted hanging with Cam Newton and Colin Kaepernick at the front row of LeBron James' NBA All-Star All-Style fashion show. After looking back on 2 Chainz' past, one will discover that the tyrannical recording artist could have been a sports legend like Cam and Colin. Apparently, he was a "legitimate Division 1 recruit" who went on to play college ball for Alabama State.

Before his time as 2 Chianz, the 37-year-old Tauheed Epps was known as "Tity Boi." Originally, Epps reigns from College Park, Georgia. He started to get noticed while rapping as a part of the hip-hop duo known as " Playaz Circle."

Later, he climbed a little higher on the ladder to fame while performing with the infamous Ludacris on his label Disturbing the Peace.

Now, 2 Chainz is known as one of the realest recording artists out there. In turn, he was invited to LeBron James' first ever televised fashion show. According to SB Nation, the appearance gave Epps a chance to hang with some celebrity athletes:

"On Friday afternoon, LeBron James taped a fashion competition called NBA All-Star All-Style. Sponsored by Samsung, the concept puts NBA stars in an elimination-style fashion show with three rounds, with judges awarding points deciding who moves on to the next. Cam Newton, Colin Kaepernick, Victor Cruz and 2 Chainz join track star Lola Jones in the front row. This is a very weird fashion show. The final hour-long product will air Saturday, Feb. 14 on TNT..."

One may tend to think 2 Chainz would be out of place amongst all the pro-ball players. However, according to a report from ESPN a few years back, Epps had the opportunity to peruse a career as a pro-athlete:

"2 Chainz has already lived multiple lives in the music industry, and [he is currently] one of the hottest rappers in the game...But before all of that, 2 Chainz was Tauheed Epps, basketball player. By his senior year, the 6-foot-5 Epps was a legitimate Division 1 recruit who got some attention from the University of Memphis... After graduating from North Clayton, Epps would go on to play a full season of Division I ball at Alabama State in 1996-97..."
