Shaquille O'Neal is one of the most iconic individuals to ever participate in the NBA. He is known for his tall stature and his above-average effectiveness close to the goal. However, since his retirement, he has made it known that he posseses a darker and more scandalous side. In recent news, the baller played some explicit music on his show Inside the NBA, and It featured several instances of the "un-bleeped" N-word. Also, this incident reminds onlookers of an occurrence early last year when the brute berated and ridiculed a fan with a rare disability.
Before his time as a professional, O'Neal played college ball for Louisiana State University. His seven foot, 325 lb presence earned him a first overall pick by the Orlando Magic during the 1992 Draft.
That same year, he received the Rookie of the Year Award.
Three short seasons later, he led his team to the 1995 NBA Finals. After that, he earned an immense amount of accommodations, including 15 All-Star game selections, three Finals MVP awards and three All-Star game MVP awards.
Over the years, his large personality, film appearances and athletic ability made Shaq a household name. Now, according to TMZ Sports, the idol seems to be losing a step:
"Record scratch moment for DJ Shaquille O'Neal...when [he] spun a track laden with the N-bomb...and it AIRED during the live broadcast of Inside the NBA. Shaq was performing in front of a HUGE live audience from a DJ booth and was away from the broadcast table. But as the crowd went wild, Shaq decided to play a version of Jay Z's 'Tom Ford'...complete with several unbleeped n-bombs...apparently unaware that he was live on the air."
This isn't the beginning of O'Neal's gaffes either. According to Daily Mail, he outraged the public with his insensitivity over Instagram:
"NBA legend Shaquille 'Shaq' O'Neal prompted outrage by posting an Instagram photo which mocked a man with a rare genetic condition. Jahmel Binion's ctodermal dysplasia hinders his ability to grow teeth and hair, [he] was dumbfounded when thousands of internet users imitated and mocked a selfie he took...They included Shaq, who has now apparently deleted the Instagram photo -- which said 'SMILE TODAY' -- and uploaded one comparing himself to the cartoon ogre Shrek..."
