Super Bowl's Malcolm Butler Receives Honorary MVP Chevrolet After Embarrassing Grammy Appearance

Many people think that Malcolm Butler single-handily won the Super Bowl for the New England Patriots. Well, that and Pete Carroll's terrible call that afforded him the opportunity. Now, Butler has officially received his "honorary MVP" truck from Chevrolet. They decided to give it to him after Tom Brady announced he would give his big red Chevy over to the deserving Butler. This is all taking place shortly after Malcolm made an awkward appearance at the 2015 Grammys.

Before his time as a professional, Malcolm played college ball for the University of West Alabama. During his time their, he, impressively, broke up 18 passes and had two interceptions.

In turn, he was named to the All-Gulf South Conference. Also, his consistent performances earned him the chance to sign with the Patriots in May of 2014.

Before the Super Bowl, Butler swam beneath the radar and wasn't very well known. Now, however, he has earned maximum respect on the professional football scene.

According to Boston, he just received significant recognition for his efforts:

"Shortly after Tom Brady was gifted a new Chevy truck along with his third career Super Bowl MVP award, word spread the Patriots' quarterback was looking to give the keys to Super Bowl hero Malcolm Butler. After a few hurdles were cleared, the undrafted rookie cornerback got a ride of his own. 'It's been great. Grammy awards. Getting a truck, Couldn't be a better time,' Butler said after he was given the keys to his new ride..."

Interestingly, Malcolm is calm, cool and collected in front of millions of people as long as it's on a football field. According to TMZ Sports, he wasn't so confident in his 2015 Grammy appearance:

"More than 100 MILLION people watched him in the Super Bowl...and he was calm under pressure. But New England Patriots hero Malcolm Butler got super nervous last night at the 2015 Grammys when he and Julian Edelman presented one of the awards...with less than 1/3 of the audience watching. Don't get us wrong -- we love the guy...but you could feel his nerves through the TV (deep breath man!!!). "
