Special ‘Brooklyn Nine Nine’ and ‘New Girl’ After 2014 Superbowl on Fox, Air Time

Well, tonight is the big night and not only for fans of the big game and advertisers. Two of Fox’s hit comedies will come on after the Super Bowl airs. Andy Samberg's new cop sitcom Brooklyn Nine Nine and Zooey Deschanel's’ New Girl are all new tonight in the coveted post-game time slot.

After the big game is over tonight and all the Gatorade has been thrown, do not touch that TV dial. Following the Super Bowl, Fox has two big shows planned for your viewing plesure.

Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg has a little new show called Brooklyn Nine Nine. For those of you that have been missing out on this little gem, now is your chance to catch up. The show has proven tp be a surprise hit and recently even won the award for best comedy at the Golden Globes.

Fox chairman Kevin Reilly recently doted on the series, when he announced to the press that it was receiving a full season order:

"It's exciting to see that both critics and fans love Brooklyn Nine-Nine as much as we do.With Andy and Andre out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time."

Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg and Andre Braugher, alongside Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Chelsea Peretti and Stephanie Beatriz.

The series' normal air date is Tuesday night on Fox.

Samberg’s former Saturday Night Live co-star Fred Armisen is expected to return to the series for the special episode.

Music fans are also in for a treat on Zooey Deschanel's show, The New Girl. The legendary musician Prince will guest star on the show’s post-Super Bowl episode. The Super Bowl airs tonight at 6:30 p.m.
