‘Frozen 2’ Idina Menzel Talks Singing for Jerek Deter and Super Bowl Performance after ‘Let It Go’ Parody Announces Snowday for Rhode Island School [VIDEO]

Idina Menzel is being much more careful with her Frozen 2 updates since spilling the beans about the upcoming Disney sequel, but the If/Then Broadway performer has no problem talking all about how nervous she gets in front of New York Yankees legend, Derek Jeter, or having to sing the national anthem at the Super Bowl this Sunday. In a related story, head of Moses Brown School in Rhode Island, Matt Glendinning, used a heartwarming parody of Idina's hit "Let It Go" to inform the school's children and parent of today's snowday.

Despite the fact the she has performed for thousands of people and hundreds of audiences live on Broadway over the years, Idina Menzel, who made a name for herself in shows like Rent and Wicked, claims that singing at any kind of major league sports event is a completely different beast.

During a recent interview with AZCentral, Menzel explained that it wasn't the gigantic crowds that she found intimidating -- it was the gigantic players.

Idina told the website that when she performed next to Derek Jeter at the MLB All-Star game the tension palpable (via Broadway):

"The thing you underestimate when you get up there is how much testosterone is coming at you when you're standing up there in the middle of the field and all those guys are in the uniforms.

"They're huge and they're all standing there listening to you."

When Moses Brown Head of School Matt Glendinning made his parody of Idina's "Let It Go" from the Frozen soundtrack, however, he couldn't have seemed more at ease letting the kids of Providence, Rhode Island, know that they weren't going to have to come to school today with his powerful rendition of "School Is Closed" (via Fox News):

"School is closed. School is closed, because it snowed so much last night.

"School is closed. School is closed, so stay at home and sit tight."

Let's hope that things warm up in New England before Matt Glendinning and company run out of hits.
