Terrell Owens is one of the greatest wide receivers to ever play in the NFL. Recent reports are saying that Owens is calling bull on Tom Brady's statements. He says that any experienced player would know the difference in a deflated and properly pumped up football. In the end, though, Terrell is not the best candidate for moral police. His reputation for negativity in locker rooms virtually negated any positive impression fans might have had.
Before the NFL, Terrell played college ball for the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was brought into the big league by the San Francisco 49ers during the 1996 Draft. After that, he spent an impressive 15 seasons with various teams.
Owens holds or shares several National Football League records. His 15,934 receiving yards rank 2nd in NFL history, and his 153 receiving touchdowns are 3rd. He is also one of only nine players in NFL history to catch 1,000 career passes.
So, with a large amount of experience under his belt, he believes he is able to tell when another experienced player is lying.
According to TMZ Sports, Owens says that Tom Brady is a liar and a cheater:
"T.O.'s callin' B.S. on T.B. It's clear, the Celebrity Apprentice ain't buyin' Tom Brady's excuse that he had no idea his footballs were under-inflated during the AFC Championship game earlier this month. Terrell Owens...who played 15 seasons in the NFL -- told us it's 'obvious' when the ball isn't pumped up to the league standard...especially for a guy who has as much experience as Brady. 'Anybody who picks up a ball who's been playing for a number of years knows if the ball is under-inflated.'"
Even after Terrell's statements, it is hard to believe anything he has to say. According to The Sports Post, Terrell's actions in the league were anything but honorable:
"Terrell Owens was a team pariah and was able to implode a locker room in a matter of years...he was a whiny, self-centered diva who cares more about himself than the good of the team. The type of player who would complain about not touching the ball enough even if the team won the game."
