Shortly after they stepped of the boat in Venice as man and wife, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have been beset by rumors that their marriage is one the verge of divorce. According to the latest gossip news updates, Amal is tired of Batman's partying and he is tired of her career demands. Word has it that the E.R. star had better turn on the charm if he wants to save his reported $200 million net worth from a tragic 50/50 split. Even worse than losing his brand new wife, Clooney's co-star from the days of yore, Jennifer Lopez, took a shot at his sexual prowess telling Jon Stewart last night on The Daily Show that the legendary heartthrob was just an "okay" kisser at best.
After decades of living life as a single man, George Clooney may not be making the transition from most eligible bachelor to doting husband as seamlessly as he would have liked.
A source seeming to have all the inside info claimed in OK! Magazine's latest February 2, issue that Amal was growing evermore appalled with George behavior as the weeks stretched into months:
"Amal feels like this is not what she signed up for.
"She and George had a very short courtship, and Amal thought he was this glamorous, international gentleman.
"But four months into the marriage, she's seeing a whole new George -- the one who behaves like a Hollywood playboy, dated bartenders and women like Stacy Keibler, takes Hollywood too seriously and is a more typical American guy than they James Bond type she thought she had married."
According to the insider, George is just as disenchanted with the marriage now that he is starting to realize just who his wife really is:
"George is used to having a partner that dedicates herself to him 100 percent.
"He loved the idea of Amal's being independent and successful, but gets frustrated when she spends hours looking at legal briefs rather than going to a fancy restaurant with him and his friends."
You would never guess that their relationship was in trouble to look at them, but the spy claims that they are just projecting a persona of success over their day-to-day misery:
"They put on a united front and gush over each other in public, but the cracks in the relationship are already showing.
"A lot of people think that it wouldn't be bad thing if this relationship didn't work out."
Well, Jennifer Lopez, for one, won't be lining up around the block for a chance at a rebound romance if George and Amal do wind up calling it quits.
During last night's taping of The Daily Show, comedian Jon Stewart jokingly asked is Clooney was in fact the worst kisser of the dozens of onscreen lovers she had of the years, and J Lo's answer was surprisingly less than flattering (via People):
"He was okay."
Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
