2014 was a fantastic year for Britain's Got Talent producer, Simon Cowell. It is being reported that the entertainment mogul's production company, Syco Entertainment, made $150 million last year, with more than $36 million going straight to the Lauren Silverman's fiancé. Cowell is also being credited for making the UK's X Factor relevant once again -- with 40 million people voting in the final weekend alone. According to the latest gossip news updates, Si is hoping to grow his family as well as his net worth in 2015. Word has it that the surly TV show runner is hopping the his girlfriend will be getting pregnant soon enough to give baby Eric a little brother or sister before the year is out.
It seems that once again Simon Cowell has the golden touch -- bringing Britain's X Factor back from the brink of irrelevancy to an all-time high in audience participation.
The UK's Mirror recently pointed out that despite the fact that the media didn't seem wowed by the ratings, Cowell's return to the panel has more people invested in the show than ever before:
"It's no surprise more than 40 million votes were cast in the final last weekend.
"More than double, who voted in the 2010, the most viewed final when One Direction, Rebecca Ferguson and eventual winner Matt Cardle battled for the crown."
Not only has Si apparently single handedly saved his second most famous show in England, Billboard reports that he has made an absolute fortune doing it:
"Simon Cowell's Syco Entertainment music and television company earned £71 million ($105 million) in the last financial year, according to accounts filed at Companies House.
"Cowell's share of the profits add up to an estimated £24 million ($36 million), including £900,000 ($1.4 million) pay."
With Cowell adding that kind of cash to the coffers every year, is it any wonder Si is reportedly thinking about the future and growing his family with Lauren Silverman?
A source claiming to have all the behind-the-scenes deets insisted in the January 18, issue of OK! Magazine that Simon was desperately hoping to get his bride-to-be pregnant once again in 2015:
"Simon hopes 2015 will bring a positive pregnancy test.
"They were on vacation in Barbados for the holidays, and Simon told Lauren that he wants to get the ball rolling again...He'd love another son."
Well, if Lauren Silverman doesn't want to give Cowell another kid...he could always just buy one.
