In the weeks following Nick Cannon's announcement that her had split form his Rockefeller train wreck wife, Mariah Carey, reports started to surface that the "Beautiful" singer wasn't handling things so well. After reportedly breaking down into tears at the Beacon during "Hero", it was rumored that Mariah and her America's Got Talent host husband had an ugly argument about divvying up her sizable net worth -- resulting in their cancelling their plans to spend Christmas together. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, Mariah has changed her mind and wants to call of the divorce. Word has it that after fighting for everything she wanted, Carey realized that what she wanted was to get Nick back.
It pretty much became public knowledge after her breakdown on TRL back in the day that Mariah Carey doesn't react so well to getting divorced, and it's been widely reported since her split to Nick Cannon was announced that things aren't going much better this time around either.
A secret behind-the-scenes source claimed in the January 25, issue of Life and Style that once she bottomed out, Mariah decided she would make up with Cannon instead of going through with another divorce:
"All Mariah's friends worry that she is becoming unstable again.
"She's been drunk a lot and calling Nick, asking him to come back.
"She's not doing well...Mariah is completely overwhelmed as a single parent -- and just wants her husband back."
According to the informant, now that Cannon is remembering what life without the albatross that is Mariah Carey hanging around his neck, the entertainment mogul has no intention of ever being tied down like that again:
"Nick put up with her mood swings, out bursts and demands longer than most guys, would've...but now he's tasted freedom.
"Nick has moved on. Now that he's on his own, he's enjoying the attention he's getting from other women.
"Unfortunately for Mariah...there's no way he's going back!"
In fact Nick has already started using his failed marriage as fodder for his new album with producer Mally Mall.
In a recent video made available by TMZ, Nick Cannon can be heard clearly talking about making his soon-to-be ex-wife hit the high notes.
S, it seems it's not all bad memories for Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey.
