While Sean Penn clearly took issue with North Korea using Sony's emails to blackmail the corporation into getting its way, Charlize Theron doesn't seem to share his same hang ups. Word has it that after learning she was getting paid significantly less for her role opposite Chris Hemsworth in the Huntsman, the South African hottie successfully demanded a $10 million raise. You think that would be great news for Sean Penn, who is reportedly engaged to marry the buxom blonde, but according to the latest gossip news updates, her boyfriend may be too busy trying to keep their relationship together to celebrate. Some recent rumors suggest that Charlize wants to breakup with the Mystic River Oscar winner after learning that Penn has secretly been communicating with his ex-wife, Robin Wright, following her split from former fiancé Ben Foster several weeks ago.
First the North Korean sponsored security hacks forced Sony to capitulate to the communists demands to shelve The Interview, and now Charlize Theron is reportedly using the information gleaned from the emails to get a $10 million raise.
A inside source told the New York Post's Page Six that once Theron found out that she was making less than her male counterpart, Chris Hemsworth, to reprise her role in the Snow White and the Huntsman prequel, she had her agents renegotiating for a more balanced deal:
"Charlize insisted that she get paid the same money as Chris. She has a great track record, so she got the same deal.
According to the informant, North Korea's cyber-terrorist actions might have actually led to a better world for all the A-list actresses in Hollywood:
"One [unintended] effect from the Sony hacking scandal is that there will be more sensitivity about equal pay for actresses and hiring practices at movie studios."
While Charlie's career may be on an up-swing at the moment, reports have surfaced that her personal life isn't as happy as it was just a few weeks back.
A supposed friend of Theron's claimed in Star Magazine's January 12, issue that after Charlize recently discovered that Sean Penn was secretly talking to his ex-wife, Robin Wright, that things may never be the same between them:
"Robin and Sean barely spoke when she was with Ben...but after Robin ended things, they began talking again.
"[Now] Charlize feels betrayed. It made her wonder what else Sean is hiding from her."
Well...with an extra $10 million in her pocket, at least, Charlize can afford to just buy herself a more faithful fiancé if she wants.
