While the tabloids have been speculating that it would happen for months, multiple source are finally confirming that Mystic River Oscar winner, Sean Penn, and his lovely girlfriend of all of a year, Charlize Theron, are engaged at last. According to the gossip news updates, Charlize Theron has never been big on the idea of a wedding, but her love for Sean has changed all that. Word also has it that Sean's ex-wife, Robin Wright, of House of Cards fame, has also reunited with her former fiancé, Ben Foster, since calling of their engagement in November.
It is starting to be herald far and wide that Charlize Theron has actually agreed to tie the knot at some point in the not too distant future with Sean Penn.
A source claiming to have all the romantic details told E! News that although it probably didn't involve any exchanging of rings, Sean and Charlie have decided that they want to get married some day:
"They have made a commitment to be together for the rest of their lives.
"They are discussing when and where they will have a wedding."
Making the engagement even more impressive is the fact that just last May, Charlize told Vogue that she never really saw herself walking down the aisle to organ music:
"Let's put it this way: I never had the dream of the white dress.
"It's supposed to be this night of celebrating love, and all you see is a couple separated all night making sure everybody else is OK.
"I want the long-term relationship. And I don't really know how to invest in the other thing."
Just as exciting -- if not as widely publicized -- if the news that Sean Penn's ex-wife and Forrest Gump alum, Robin Wright, has gotten back together with her onetime fiancé, Ben Foster.
While Robin and Foster split in November after calling off their engagement, a close friend told Us Weekly that Robin went back to Ben because, " she realized she had something good".
Maybe Sean and Robin will even be able to get along well enough to have a joingt wedding that includes all their kids.
