Matt Damon is one of the most successful actors to appear on the big screen. Ever since Good Will Hunting, fans have been obsessed with what Damon does in his free time. According to recent reports, Matt is a die hard New England Patriots fan, and he will be sure to make time to see the Pats take down the Baltimore Ravens in their upcoming game. In fact, Damon is even predicting that the Patriots will take home first prize in the nation's biggest sporting event. Known for his sage words of wisdom, many now wonder if the award winner has finally put his foot in his mouth.
Damon is typically considered to be only an actor, because he has made so many memorable appearances. However, it is important for fans to remember that he is also a producer, philanthropist and screenwriter.
Matt and fellow superstar, Ben Affleck, actually wrote the screenplay for the Oscar Award winning film Good Will Hunting. Damon has worked with Affleck many times, and the two have produced some outstanding pieces.
In turn, rumors have always circled the two, which questioned if their relationship actually went deeper than just friends. According to Daily Mail, Matt never addressed said rumors, because he didn't want to offend others:
"[Damon said], 'I never denied those rumors because I was offended and didn't want to offend my friends who were gay - as if being gay were some kind of f**ing disease...It put me in a weird position in that sense. The whole thing was just gross.' The pair, who wrote and starred in the Oscar-winning 1997 drama Good Will Hunting, have ever since been avoiding rumors that the two are secret gay lovers."
All in all, Matt showed that he is very good at choosing his words, and he understands the elegant art of maintaining one's grace and composure. According to TMZ Sports, the only time Damon puts his foot in his mouth, is when it comes to the New England Patriots:
"New England Patriots superfan Matt Damon just told us he fully expects his squad to dominate the Ravens next week...on their way to ANOTHER Super Bowl title this year. 'I think there's a lot of good competition there,' Damon said at LAX this weekend...'but I'm a big believer in the Patriots...Patriots are going all the way.' Damon said the same thing when the Ravens took on the Pats in the NFL Playoffs back in 2013 ... only to come up with some thin excuses after Baltimore pulled off the upset."
