Former MLB star Jose Conseco has his fair share of scandals and controversies associated with his name. He is notorious for admitting to using steroids, and, at one point, he even berated a woman on Twitter after she accused him of sexual assault. Now, Conseco has made headlines again, as he and long time on-again, off-again girlfriend, Leila Knight, have gotten back together.
Early in his career, Jose was known for his explosive power with a baseball bat and for his ability to score runs. He even built up the reputation for being above average at the center field position.
Then, the truth came out. Conseco was a juicer and many of his successes can be attributed to these performance-enhancing drugs. He even wrote a book on the situation, titled, Juiced: Wild Times, Rampant 'Roids, Smash Hits & How Baseball Got Big.
Surprisingly, this situation was not Jose's most embarrassing moment. According to NY Daily News, Conseco attacked the woman who accused him of sexual assault on social media:
"Despite being the target of a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police investigation for sexual assault, former slugger Jose Canseco took to Twitter Friday and continued to verbally lambast the alleged victim. [Saying,] 'you should tell the truth tell everyone you lied... who is putting so much pressure on u to lie? or is someone paying u off.?' The tweets by the one-time Bash Brother have generated a torrent of criticism on the Internet..."
Recently, the one time slugger has been involved in even more drama. According to TMZ Sports, Conseco and ex-girlfriend, Leila Knight are getting back together:
"The former MLB superstar was out in Hollywood last night with a special guest ... Leila Knight ... and they had some pretty big news -- they're officially back together and the engagement is back on...Of course, the two had a NASTY public breakup back in November -- with Leila calling 911 after an especially bad argument. The two then ripped each other on social media...But last night, the two said they kissed ad made up ... and are still destined for the alter."
