Baltimore Ravens Head of Security Put on Paid Leave After Sexual Assault Charges; NFL Drama [Update]

Baltimore Ravens head of security, Darren Sanders, spent the majority of his career keeping citizens safe as a homicide detective. However, it seems his true colors are coming out, now that he is caught up in the fast moving NFL environment. It was earlier stated that Sanders was accused of sexually assaulting a woman during the Ravens Vs. Browns game. In turn, recent reports are claiming Darren has been placed on paid leave of absence until the situation can sort itself out.

Darren spent the most of his career as a detective with the Baltimore City Police Department. By most, he was revered as a man with integrity and one who is deeply concerned with the safety of others.

The 48-year-old Sanders denies any involvement in the accusations, and his lawyer is doing everything in his power to make sure the security head maintains his innocence.

All in all, Sanders' legal team has a lot of work to do, because the woman's statements are anything but miniscule. According to TMZ Sports, Sanders was very aggressive and overstepped the line of human decency that day:

"Darren Sanders -- the head of security for the Baltimore Ravens -- is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore during a game...[the] woman claims she was working at the stadium on December 14th -- when the Ravens were playing the Browns -- and was asked to escort Sanders to another part of the building...Sanders 'hit and/or groped her buttocks more than once as they walked down the third level hallway.'...The abuse continued when they got to the 3rd floor lobby ... when he 'pressed his body against her's and kissed her neck and attempted to force her to grab his penis.'"

Now, the team has taken action. It is said that they are doing everything to abide by the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy. According to The Washington Post, Sanders hasn't received any harsh punishments at this time:

"Sanders was put on paid leave on Wednesday after being acused of groping a woman...Sanders, who was not arrested because he was charged through a court summons, [did] not travel to Pittsburgh [with] the Steelers in their first playoff game on Saturday night..."
