Going track-by-track, in 50 words or less, through all 15 of E.L. James' favorite classical music.
Today...Villa-Lobos, Bachianas Brasileiras #5 'Cantilena'
James' sequencing this after Bach is a great choice, but it's hard to hear how Ruth Corrêa's Portuguese lyrics apply to Anastasia and Christian. Barbara Hendricks and eight of the Royal Philharmonic's celli are superb, but again, Villa-Lobos' later arrangement for soprano and guitar might've been more apt. Hey, at least it's not Joan Baez.
