After Aaron Rogers and Ndamukong Suh Ankle Stomping Scandal, Pros Claim Star Athletes Singled Out

Violence in the NFL is nothing out of the ordinary, however, more and more players seem to be getting fines for unnecessary roughness. Detroit Lions Ndamukong Suh was recently fined and suspended after intentionally stomping Aaron Roger's ankle. Others suggest that this happens more than the league notices, as well, and even claims that only big name athletes receive any retribution.

Lion's teammates have already showed their support for Suh and made their attempts to defend his actions. There is good reason for this, because the Lions defense will definitely be hurting in the brute's absence.

Suh is a Pro Bowl nominee and one of the most decorated college ball players ever. He won numerous awards including the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Lobardi Award, Outland Trophy and the Associated Press College Football Player of the Year.

Now, however, Suh's maliciousness has earned him a seat on the sidelines. According to ESPN, The NFL wasn't going to let the injustice stand:

"Suh's punishment comes a day after he stepped on the leg of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rogers...Suh 'unnecessarily stepped on [the] opponent's unprotected leg as he lay on the ground unable to protect himself," according to a statement released by the NFL.'

The issue has been thoroughly discussed, and some have suggested that the only reason Suh is receiving such a harsh punishment is because the NFL is "babying" Aaron Rogers. According to TMZ Sports, Detroit Lion Mathew Stafford was cleated badly as well:

"Matthew Stafford's wife is calling B.S. on the NFL -- claiming her husband was cleated JUST AS BAD as Aaron Rodgers last weekend ... and the league didn't do SQUAT about it...Of course, Stafford's Detroit Lions teammate Ndamukong Suh was just suspended by the league this week after stomping on Rodgers during their matchup on Sunday...When Kelly Hall learned of Suh's fate, she went to Instagram to express her discontent -- writing: 'Pretty sure Matthew's leg looks a lot damn worse right now from when he got stepped on/cleated in the same game. But it wasn't Suh.. And he's not Aaron Rodgers, so no one would think twice about it.'"
