Kim Kardashian, pregnant with Kanye West's baby, showed up in a Los Angeles courtroom earlier today for a mandatory divorce settlement date with Kris Humphries. Bitter in Brooklyn, the 6-foot-9 power forward didn't make it.
Kardashian, her hair in a ponytail, sat quietly in a long silver coat over white pants as the judge called the hearing to order just before 9 a.m. (Pacific).
According to TMZ, Humphries was still "looking upset" in a New York hotel at 1 a.m...Eastern Standard Time. With no flights available to California to get him to the court on time, Kris Humphries simply did not show.
What was supposed to be a routine settlement meeting was set as a final effort by the court system to avoid what's looking now like a very nasty trial. In light of Humphries' absence, however, it appears that the Humphries vs. Kardashian proceedings will convene on Monday, May 6.
Humphries, 28, is asking for a full annulment, claiming that Kardashian's marriage to him was all fraud. Kardashian, 32, simply wants a regular divorce--as stipulated in their prenup.
Kris Jenner, Kardashian's mother, and other members of her legal/management teams are expected to testify about Kris and Kim's relationship together.
As of right now, at least, Kanye West is not on the list to take the stand.
