The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton decided to pass on reality TV star Kim Kardashian's clothing line according to reports.
Kim Kardashian is said to be an admirer of the new royal and hinted that she wanted to have tea with Middleton, fueling reports which claim the reality starlet is "obsessed," with the Duchess.
The Huffington Post is reporting that Kim wanted to hang out with Middleton when she and her sisters arrived in the United Kingdom to launch their new upcoming Dorothy Perkins line.
The National Enquirer reports that Middleton is not Kim's biggest fan according to an insider.
"Kate can't stand their style, and from what she knows about their TV show, it's just a bunch of trashy people primping and yelling at each other," the insider said. "She's far too polite to diss Kim to her face, but she's got enough on her plate without having tea with someone like her."
Kate who receives free clothing all the time has to send items back if its not in accordance with the elite at Buckingham Palace, so when Kim's clothing was sent back by Middleton it was rumored that she was somewhat irked.
"Kim wasn't happy because she's obsessed with Kate, but the Duchess of Cambridge has no interest in becoming part of the Kardashian publicity machine," said an insider close to the royal family. "The Duchess gets free clothes sent to her every day of the week, and she always sends them back. The royal family is very careful about not being seen to endorse any product. It's just not proper. Quite apart from that, the Kardashian outfits just aren't appropriate for a duchess."
Kim's boyfriend rapper Kanye West and Middleton's husband Prince William have a mutual respect for one another and its rumored that the prince is keen on West's music.
"Kanye has met Prince William, who's a big fan of his music, and he's become a big fan of Kate too," said the source. "He's even suggested to Kim that she could take a leaf out of the royal beauty's book and tone down her makeup for a more natural look."
