Kim Kardashian Brings Out Fans and Islamist In Bahrain At The Launch Of Her New Franchise (VIDEO)

Reality star mogul Kim Kardashian brought out a crowd at the launch of her new milkshake franchise in the Middle Eastern state of Bahrain on Saturday.

Kardashian drew a number of fans and detractors in the form of 100 Sunni Salafists when she was in Bahrain to open up her latest business.

The police were called to handle the crowd that included hard line Islamists who displayed banners outside The Walk Bahrain, an upmarket mall in Manama after some MPs tried to block the visit over what they called her "bad reputation", according to a local newspaper.

The group of 100 protesters were joined by thousands fans who paid 500 Bahrani dinars ($1,360) a ticket to see the reality TV star at her Millions of Milkshakes store.

The protesters had to be controlled by police, according to Yahoo, and witnesses said police dispersed the demonstrators with stun grenades as the inauguration proceeded inside despite the show of force they were no causalities reported.

Kardashian caused a scene in nearby Kuwait when she opened up a store there as well. She joins the likes of Paris Hilton as female American celebs that have opened stores in the region to a hostile welcome.

According to Yahoo, fans of the popular celebrity were upset with the protest against Kardashian and MPs stance towards her some took to Twitter to say "MPs should focus their time on solving key political, economic and social issues", the newspaper reported.

The MPs in the nation labeled the actress as "an actress with an extremely bad reputation", according to Bahrain's English language Gulf Daily News.
