'Redneck Island' Host Stone Cold Steve Austin Is Back; Can CMT Reality Show Overcome Hulk Hogan Feud?

Stone Cold Steve Austin established himself as a hardboiled beer drinker straight off the forklift during his time in the WWE. According to sources, after his retirement from the league, the legend felt unfulfilled and decided to get back into show business. Now, Austin's show Redneck Island is in full swing. However, can Stone Cold move past his recent feud with Hulk Hogan?

Austin joined the WWE when it was still the WWF. During his time there he made a name for himself as a rebel. On regular occasion the brute would pic fights with Organization head, Vince McMahon.

Over the course of his career Austin racked up 21 titles. Unfortunately, in 2003 the one-time champ was forced to retire from the sport due to neck and knee injures.

Needless to say a highly driven, hardworking individual like Austin wasn't ready to settle for retirement at 39. Business Insider reports on Stone Colds journey back into the limelight:

"It took about a decade, but today, he has reinvented himself as a reality television and podcast host. Austin said, 'It was almost like a maturation process. I said, Hey man, it's time to put your suspenders back on, get your ass out to L.A., and get to work...And that's what I did.'"

Austin has made appearances in the Longest Yard, the Expendables and reality show Tough Enough. His performance caught the eye of Country Music Television, which asked him to be the host of Redneck Island, a country-fried version of Survivor with competitors from the American South.

Now, it's December and the Redneck Island is back in full swing. This season has a new sexy co-host who might make it hard for the Stone Man to focus.

Additionally, this isn't the only obstacle Austin currently has to face. According to Inquisitr, the Stone Cold/ Hulk Hogan relationship has turned into a rivalry:

"Stone Cold Steve Austin said that he was a bigger star than Hogan was in their respective eras. Whether that is true or not, Hogan felt that responding was the true measure of a good sport."

Things have only increased from that point. Hogan has challenged Austin to come out of retirement and called him a b*tch. Austin has only laughed at the situation, and carried on with his hit CMT show, Redneck Island.

What do you think? Is Austin being the bigger man? Or, should he accept Hogan's challenge? Are you exited for Redneck Island? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
