Senior Ohio State student and football player Kosta Karagoerge is still missing. The athlete, who reigns from Columbus, Ohio, stands at 6ft 3in tall and weighs 273 pounds. So, it remains quite confusing how such a large and well-known individual could go -- and stay -- missing. Recent reports have confirmed that even team members have joined in the ongoing search. There is reason to worry because, apparently, he sent some concerning text messages that seem to show Kosta was confused after multiple concussions.
His disappearance felt ubrupt to those who saw Kosta just a few short hours before he was reported missing. However, the boy's mother has come forth claiming that there may be a good reason behind the situation.
ESPN reported on his last communications:
"His mother, Susan Karageorge, told police he has had several concussions and a few spells of being extremely confused, according to the report. She said that at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, he texted a message that cited the concussions and said, "I am sorry if I am an embarrassment. But these concussions have my head all [expletive] up."
Still, loved ones and team members have joined together to find him. It may not be an easy situation, but the community is facing it head on. NBC News reported earlier on the advancing search:
"Karageorge's team members joined a group of about 100 people Friday to search for the fifth-year senior. Former OSU defensive end Matt Finkes offered a $1,000 reward to anyone who can provide a tip leading to Karageorge. The Ohio State Buckeyes were playing their archrival, the University of Michigan Wolverines, on Saturday in Ohio. Seniors, playing their final home game, were recognized before kickoff, and when Karageorge's name was called, a police poster with his information was displayed on a scoreboard."
These circumstances are dreadful for the Ohio State Community, and our thoughts go out to the family at this time.
