Alabama Vs. Auburn: Rematch of the Season, After 2013 Iron Bowl Upset

Last year's Iron Bowl between Alabama's Crimson Tide and Auburn's Tigers was a game for the record books. In a split second, the game went from heated to unbelievable. They were tied 28-28, and there were only seconds left on the clock. Then, Alabama head coach Nick Saban made a tough decision, by taking out his starting kicker Cade Foster, who was replaced with Adam Griffith. Griffith unfortunately missed what would have been the game winning field goal. This allowed Auburn to make one of the most amazing comebacks of last season. Now, it is time for the two teams to go head to head again, and the match up should prove to be just as exiting last year.

Though, this will prove to be quite a challenge. After all, last year's match could be considered one of the most surprising, upsetting, exciting and (some could argue) lucky endings in college football history. USA Today has the recap:

"[Alabama] came up short and seconds later Davis was in the end zone and Tigers fans were rushing the field. Alabama redshirt freshman kicker Adam Griffith missed a 57-yard yard field goal with one second remaining and Auburn cornerback Chris Davis returned it over 100 yards for a game-winning touchdown."

Now, number 1 seed Alabama will take on number 15 Auburn. Speculations have spread widely, but the common census is that football fans are in for a treat. Saturday Down South has the breakdown:

"After last year's improbable ending, chances are the 2014 Iron Bowl won't match the excitement of 2013. But that doesn't mean this year's rematch can't be one of the best games of the season. The Iron Bowl is a spectacle every year as one of college football's best rivalries. Much like last year, both Auburn and Alabama figure to be at the top of the SEC, so not only will this game feature a great rivalry, but there will probably be an SEC Championship berth on the line as the Iron Bowl looks to add another exciting chapter to its history."
