Fans might be upset that The Newsroom is ending after this season, but Jeff Daniels is not. The Dumb and Dumber To star recently, spoke to Zap2It about The Newsroom coming to an end:
“It's my first television series, and while we could have gone more seasons, three felt right. It felt like we told the story, and we didn't have to suffer through what every TV series does if it goes on too long. When is too long? When is one too many seasons? When have you told all the stories you can tell, and Season 6 wasn't as good as Season 4 or Season 5?
“While it would have been great to go on, we don't have to deal with that. We've put what we hope are three really strong seasons together and walked away. It feels like more a long movie shoot for me, or closing a Broadway play.”
