The official plot synopsis for Sunday night’s all new episode of The Newsroom, titled “Contempt,” reads:

Check out the promo for the episode for a sneak peek of Will’s big day in court:

The real world drama is just one part of the series, the real driving force is personal relationships between the people of the newsroom.

Some of the shows most heartfelt moments come from the budding relationship between Sloan Sabbath (Olivia Munn) and Don Keefer (Thomas Sadoski). Recently, executive producer Alan Poul spoke to TV Guide about how Sloan and Don came to be:

"I think, of all of the relationships that happened, it's the one that certainly was not preordained from the beginning of Season 1. They were probably the most surprising couple to emerge on the show, but, from the moment that they first showed chemistry, there was a huge response from our viewers, wanting those two to be together. So it was clearly something that was kind of destined to be."

Be sure to tune into the all new episode of The Newsroom this Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. eastern on HBO.
