Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of the tragic passing of Paul Walker, and over the past twelve months it's often been remarked that Paul would have wanted this Fast and Furious 7 finished -- as it is widely assumed that Walker, whose autopsy revealed was still alive immediately after his tragic car crash, would have stayed with the franchise for years to come. According to that latest gossip news updates, however, that last bit isn't entirely true. Paul Walker's father, Paul III admitted in one interview that his son had not-so-secret plans to quit his part as cast lead, Brian O'Conner, to focus all his time and energy on raising his 15-year-old daughter, Meadow. Paul's brother, Cody, helped Universal complete the film along with some help from Caleb Walker and the CGI movie wizards, but that's not the collaboration with Paul that he is most proud of today. Cody recently commented that although his older brother may have made his last movie, Paul is able to still affect the lives of thousands of people each year through his charity, Reach Out Worldwide.
Hard as it may be to believe, Paul Walker's father, Paull III has revealed that in all likelihood Fast and Furious 7 was going to be his son's last movie with the franchise even if he hadn't come to such an untimely end last November.
Walker Sr. apparently told the Daily Mail that in addition to regretting signing a three picture deal to star in the Agent 47 movie franchise, his son was planning to sit the next few Fast films out, at the very least:
"Paul was planning on taking a break from starring in movies, and stepping away from Hollywood, to spend more time with Meadow.
"Paul wanted to be there for her as she grew up.
"'In fact, he would've swapped his Hollywood fame for the quiet life with Meadow.
"Paul wasn't big on fame."
Paul's brother, Cody Walker, who helped Universal with finishing Furious 7, told E! News even though his brother's film helped turned the Fast actor into a Hollywood icon -- it's his charity Reach Out Worldwide that will be Walker's true legacy:
"ROWW continues to be, to function, to help others even after our primary contributor, my brother, Paul Walker has passed.
"These missions are truly life changing for all involved.
"I know he would be so stoked to know that. ROWW changed his life, and he was so proud of it."
So, remember before you head to the theaters April 3, of next year to check out Paul Walker's last Fast and Furious film to stop by his charity's website and help someone that can't help themselves.
