Over the summer, Saturday Night Live vet and Top Five, and 30 Rock star, Tracy Morgan was severely injured after a Wal-Mart tractor trailer slammed into his limo bus, killing comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair.” Now Morgan is suing the big box retailer for his injuries which we know have learned include brain damage. This according to his lawyer, who recently updated the public on his clients condition.
Tracy Morgan’s lawyer, Benedict Morelli, recently updated the public on Morgan’s health status in a statement to the press (Via Associated Press):
"He's fighting to get better, and if there's a chance for him to be back to the Tracy Morgan he once was, he's going to try to do that. But we just don't know because of the severity of the injuries that he sustained and the fact that he had such a severe brain injury."
Morelli went on to add that it might be some time before they know the full extent of Morgan’s injuries, adding:
"When you have a traumatic brain injury it takes a very long time to find out how you're going to do and how much you're going to recover. You just don't know. So that's where he is. He's still fighting and trying to live his life at the same time and trying to get better, and he's just not better. We're hoping and praying to get him back to where he was. But the jury's out."
Morgan can soon be seen in the new Chris Rock film, Top Five, due for release on December 12, 2014.
