NBC’s hit cop drama, Chicago P.D. is all new tonight. It was recently announced that soon the spin off series will crossover with the Jesse Spencer lead Chicago Fire and the long running Law & Order: SVU.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Prison Ball,: reads:

This month we can expect to see a big three part crossover between Chicago PD, its parent series, Chicago Fire and Law and Order Special Victims Unit.
All three series are created and produced by Law & Order's Dick Wolf.
Recently, Wolfereleased a statement about the big crossover event, telling the press(via E! News)”
"Warren Leight (SVU showrunner) and Matt Olmstead (Chicago Fire/Chicago PD showrunner) are two of the best writers in the business. We wanted to figure out a way to create a crime that connects all three shows. Warren, Matt and I came up with a story that was big and unique enough to transit to all three."
Be sure to check out the all new episode of Chicago P.D. tonight at 10:00 p.m. eastern on NBC.
