Tonight the hit CW series The 100 is all new with another Season 2 episode. Last week Henry Ian Cusick’s (Lost, Scandal) character Marcus Kane made his presence known on the ground. Recently, the Lost vet opened up about leaving ABC’s Scandal for The 100. Meanwhile, you can catch up with The 100, now streaming on Netflix.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Reapercussions,” reads:
“Clarke gains an unlikely ally. Later, Abby confesses to committing a crime.”
Henry Ian Cusick recently spoke to TV Guide about leaving Scandal for the new sci-fi series:
"Scandal is a huge hit. I'm happy for them, but it was never a really good fit for me... This show is a great fit. High stakes, spaceships, running around, people dying; that's much more my ideal and I enjoy that."
This season of the The 100 is only 16 episode, which is still three episodes more than Season 1. Recently, CW president Mark Pedowitz spoke to press about how Season 1’s short run influenced the Season 2 order:
"We believe in the storytelling of [Season 1] that was only 13 episodes. There will be only 16 for this year so [executive producer] Jason [Rothenberg] could do the stories that he needed to do in a very quick fashion to get it out there...We felt that with 'The 100' under Jason Rothenberg's showrunning that he had done something we were looking to get to. He made a gritty show, something that was maybe not unique at first, but he made it unique to ourselves and it had a solid following. We appreciate the critical reviews that we received. And more importantly, it had a very strong digital following."
You can check out the all new episode of The 100 tonight at 9:00 p.m. eastern on The CW. You can also check out all of Season 1 on Netflix.
