Even though it would shoot Insurgent's blockbuster returns through the roof, Shailene Woodley and her Divergent boyfriend, Theo James, are not dating and never have been. According to all the latest gossip news updates, Theo has been dating his longtime girlfriend, Ruth Kearney, for years and has no plans to split in the near future. Besides the Instagram feet model has changed her look so drastically in the past few months, any potential suitor really couldn't be sure what they were signing up for. Shailene cut of her lock for The Fault in Our Stars after she completed her topless nude White Bird on a Blizzard sex scenes, and then she bleached her hair, platinum blonde. Now, Ellen Page's supposed girlfriend has dyed the whole thing back again, perhaps in preparation for a new movie role.
It seems that Shailene Woodley's new role in White Bird in a Blizzard could catapult her from tween action star to adult sex-symbol, but Shailene claims she didn't take the job just to have an opportunity to get naked.
In a quote cited in People Magazine's recent online article, Shai explained that she took the job in spite of the nudity it required not because of it:
"The thing with nudity is, it's not something that, as an actor you want to do, like, 'I'm going to go do a film where I can be nude in it.'
"If nudity lends itself to a particular artistic creation, then ... I think it's up to the discretion of the particular screenplay or the story."
And during a discussion with Peter Travers for ABC News, Shai explained that in White Bird in A Blizzard, the film's nudity is essential to the story that they are trying to tell.
"The movie sort of tracks Cat's experience not only coming of age and figuring out who she is but [also] not dealing with the consequences of not really having a mother or father present emotionally.
"A lot of coming of age films don't really dive deep into young girls figuring out who they are sexually... Gregg wasn't afraid to sort of see this young woman to project who she was through her sexuality."
Although, Shai may be growing up right before our eyes, Woodley recently revealed to Craig Ferguson that she is actually digressing in some other ways, however.
While they were taking turns playing doctor, Woodley admitted that as she enters adulthood some phobias are starting to rear their ugly debilitating heads:
"I get consistently more afraid of flying on airplanes.
"I use to not be afraid and now I am...I am afraid the plane is going to crash."
Just don't fly in or out of Malaysia and you'll be fine.
