Tonight ABC’s hit fairytale drama, Once Upon A Time, is all new with the premiere of its fourth season. In addition to finally getting to see Disney’s Frozen sister, Anna and Elsa, in live-action, we also get to see what happens to Regina, (Lana Parrilla) and Robin Hood’s (Sean Maguire) relationship now that Marian is back.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s Season 4 premiere episode of Once Upon A Time, titled “A Tale of Two Sisters,” reads:
“In the fourth-season opener, a frightened Elsa makes a snow monster to protect herself. Meanwhile, Regina wonders if there's a future for her and Robin Hood; and in the Arendelle of the past, Anna seeks to finish her parents' thwarted journey.”
Speaking about Regina and Robin Hood’s relationship, co-creator, Eddy Kitsis recently spoke to TV Line about what to expect:
“It’s going to be messy and it’s going to be complicated, but we’re hoping it’s a hot mess.”
Kitsis’ partner in crime, Adam Horowitz, also chimed, adding:
“We’re trying very hard to put our spin on these different kinds of relationships. Hopefully it becomes less about the relationship itself and more about Regina. What we saw at the end of the finale, with Marian returning, and how that might affect her feelings for Robin Hood, his feelings for her, his feelings for Marian, that will open a door to who Regina is and what she’s going to become.”
Tune into the Season 4 premiere episode of Once Upon A Time tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on ABC.
