London’s Jewish Cultural Centre, JW3, Opens Its Doors
A new cultural center in London has opened its doors, and it's something new for the British capitol--a Jewish cultural center, commonly known in the U.S. (where they are far from rare) as a JCC. This has been several years in the planning and the building and the staffing, and was the brainchild of long-time arts patron Vivien Duffield. More from the turmoil at the Minnesota Orchestra. A press release has gone out announcing a fourth contract proposal for musicians from management. They--both sides presumably--will be earnestly hoping that this gets them back to work. But that will all depend on the detail where, as the saying goes, the devil is often to be found.
