A Question for Sports Fanatics: What If Music Was Our National Pastime?
If sports didn't exist, we would have to find some other activity to focus our energies on as a community. It seems to be a deep-seated need in the human psyche to engage in one meaningful, shared activity. Some of the U.K.'s most admired opera professionals have signed on for a tribute to the late, much loved bass Richard Angas. Opera North has organized the one-off concert, which will take place on February 16 at Leeds Grand Theatre.
