Manfred Honeck to Lead Chicago Symphony Orchestra Open Rehearsal

Chicago Symphony Orchestra's open rehearsal for invited donors, community groups and the CSO's concerts has been set for February 18-20 with frequent guest conductor Manfred Honeck, Music Director of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, announced as the guest conductor. The CSO's own Music Director, Riccardo Muti, was scheduled to helm the event but had to withdraw from all February's concerts and activities in Chicago due to a recent accident and subsequent convalescence.

    Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College continues its 2015-16 season with Moscow Festival Ballet's double bill of one-act ballets on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 8pm. The program begins with a restaging of Shakespeare's tragedy 'Romeo and Juliet,' set to the music of Tchaikovsky and choreographed by legendary Bolshoi principle dancer Elena Radchenko. This will be followed by Alberto Alonso's fiery 'Carmen,' inspired by Bizet's sensuous and spirited opera.

    It was recently announced the original cast of the hit Broadway musical 'A Light at The Plaza' will reunite for a special one night only reunion benefit performance for the Lincoln Center. Now, it has been revealed that Kelli O’Hara and Victoria Clark will also been reuniting for a brand new production of 'Dido and Aeneas.' The Opera written by Henry Purcell (music) and Nahum Tate (libretto), will also star Anna Christy and Elliot Madore. The production will also feature the world premiere of a companion piece by Michael John LaChiusa ('The Wild Party' *Broadway).
