The Broadway League has dropped the statistics for the 2023-2024 season, which saw grosses of $1,539,278,706.

The figures represent a more-or-less status quo than the 2022-2023 season.

According to year-end statistics, the 71 Broadway productions from May 22, 2023, to May 19, 2024, brought in a total of $1.54 billion in revenue. The total attendance was estimated to be around 12.3 million, or 12,287,708, to be exact.

"Audiences are responding to the incredible variety of plays, musicals, and specials that we have on Broadway," Interim Broadway League President Jason Laks said.

He added, "Broadway continues to provide a dynamic space for audiences and artists to explore diverse worlds and narratives together and remains a place where everyone can find something they will love to see."

Regarding this week's results, Broadway fans appear to flock to 'Lempicka' to see the musical before its final performance on May 19.

The Longacre saw 97% of its seats occupied during the week, making it the best-performing week of its entire run with a $588,388.30 total gross.

For the week of May 29, the following productions brought in more than $1 million: 'Moulin Rouge!,' 'MJ,' 'Hell's Kitchen,' 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,' 'Hamilton,' 'An Enemy of the People,' 'Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club,' and 'Aladdin,' 'The Wiz,' 'Uncle Vanya,' 'The Great Gatsby,' 'The Lion King ($2M),' 'Water For Elephants,' and 'Wicked.'

Overall, the 2023-2024 season had 71 productions, 39 of which were brand-new. Of those 39, 21 were musicals (16 original, five revivals), 16 were plays (12 original, four revivals), and two were special engagements.
