About Maia Raeficco's Upcoming Broadway Debut

Performing at the Walter Kerr Theatre starting on July 2, the Argentinian actress also recently graced the Kennedy Center Broadway Center Stage production of "Next to Normal" and the City Center Encores! Iteration of "Evita."

"I am so elated to be joining the cast of Hadestown!" shared Reficco in a public statement. "Growing up in Argentina as the daughter of a musical theatre director, my passion for theatre was ignited at a young age. I would listen to any score and try to see any show I could."

"I first saw Hadestown in 2019 with the original cast and instantly fell in love with the production. It was awe-inspiring how the company brought the story to life, and Eva Noblezada, literally made 'Eurydice' a dream role for me," she continued.

Reficco also expressed that she feels "overwhelmed and honored" that her dream role is finally slated to come true after the coming months, saying, "I cannot wait to be a part of a show that left such an impression on me and hope we can continue to do the same for others."

Currently, "Hadestown" cast members include Ani DiFranco as Persephone, Jordan Fisher as Orpheus, Jon Jon Briones as Hermes, Phillip Boykin as Hades, and Jessie Shelton, Kay Trinidad, and Brit West as the Fates. Reficco will be replacing Isa Briones as Eurydice.

Musically, singer-songwriter Anaïs Mitchell's folk and jazz-infused soundscapes pervade the production's narratives, underscoring the modern spin in classic mythologies concerning the likes of Orpheus and Eurydice, and pitting it off with that of Hades and Persephone's.
