About the Sound Mind Music Festival 2024
In addition to the headlining performances, would-be eventgoers can partake in a dance party and DJ sets at the House of Yes throughout the event day.
A set of holistic mental health programming experiences called "Sound Sessions" including movement, yoga, mindfulness, and breathwork sessions are also available for patrons. As for food and drinks, both will be provided by the iconic NY institution: Smorgasburg.
DJ White Shadow, who produced Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and "Artpop" and worked on the film "A Star is Born," will also grace the festival with a performance, specifically at its benefit afterparty at the Elsewhere live music venue.
Tickets for the afterparty are available here.
Alongside the host of entertainment offerings, the festival will also be holding a series of panels delving on mental health topics, including those in communities of color, in the music industry, in the LGBTQ+ community, and on the importance of the lived experience.
The festival will help raise funds for the Sound Mind Center, a pioneering music and wellness center dedicated to crafting transformative healing experiences through music and sound.
By day, the center will host programs and workshops to help nearby communities manage their mental health effectively through breathwork and sound meditations. By night, the space will transform into a vibrant hub of music showcases, concerts, open mics, and the like.
