The 2024 Outer Critics Circle Award winners have been announced. The rock group drama Stereophonic leads out of seven nominations with four wins, including Outstanding New Broadway Play.

The production was among the most nominated of the season, but Audible Theater's Off-Broadway musical 'Dead Outlaw' took first place.

'Suffs' was named Outstanding New Broadway Musical, 'Primary Trust,' the most recent winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, was named Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play, and 'Oh, Mary!' won the New American Play Award (John Gassner). 'I Can Get It for You Wholesale' by Classic Stage Company received Outstanding Revival of a Musical, while 'Appropriate' by Second Stage won Outstanding Revival of a Play.

Performers nominated for 2024 Tony prizes won performer prizes in Broadway categories. These performers included Jessica Lange for 'Mother Play,' Kara Young for 'Purlie Victorious,' Kelli O'Hara for 'Days of Wine and Roses,' and Kecia Lewis for 'Hell's Kitchen.'

There were two ties in the off-Broadway performance: Lead Performer in an Off-Broadway Play (Cole Escola for 'Oh, Mary!' and William Jackson Harper for 'Primary Trust') and Featured Performer in an Off-Broadway Musical (Judy Kuhn for 'I Can Get It for You Wholesale' and Thom Sesma for 'Dead Outlaw'). Jay O. Sanders for 'Primary Trust' and Andrew Durand for 'Dead Outlaw' were the other winners in the Off-Broadway performance category.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center's Bruno Walter Auditorium will host the event on May 23 to recognize the winners.
