Taylor Swift performed her first show since the release of her 11th studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department,' on Thursday in Paris after a two-month break.
'The Tortured Poets Department' additions included 'But Daddy I Love Him,' 'So High School,' 'Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me,' 'Down Bad,' 'Fortnight,' 'The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,' and 'I Can Do It With A Broken Heart.'
Swift sings the album names in a medley during the tour intro, which also involves pink and purple billowing pieces of fabric, before launching into her lead single, 'Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince.'
The concert opening hinted at multiple significant wardrobe changes, including adding a choral piece called 'The Tortured Poets Department,' a new orange and red bodysuit, and a new black-and-white onscreen background.
She performed the 'Midnights' bonus track 'Paris' live for the first time as one of her surprise acoustic guitar songs of the evening. She made her piano debut with the TTPD single "loml."
In a snippet from the show's edited 'Red' era, the singer hinted that the Paris crowd inspired her to unveil "all kinds of fun surprises."
With the addition of a 'Tortured Poets Department' segment, Swift formally introduced her new period later in the program. Over 200,000 people watched the Paris concert that influencer Chris Olsen live-streamed via TikTok when the 'Tortured Poets' era started.
Furthermore, she appeared to have replicated the clinical, asylum-like setting of her 'Fortnight' music video live as well.
Swift introduced herself to the audience during her acoustic performance. After the era, she referred to the 'Tortured Poets' segment as "Female Rage, the musical."
