Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton is perhaps the hottest show on Broadway, if not the entire plant. Well pretty soon a lot more people across will get the chance to see the show. Not only is Hamilton set to make its way across America, but it has been reported that the show is eyeing a run at the West End’s Victoria Palace Theatre in 2017. That is not all. Producers are seeking new actors for the Broadway show and the American tour.
It looks like Hamilton is heading to London. It was recently announced that producer Cameron Mackintosh (Les Misérables, The Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Oliver!) and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda are looking to bring the musical of the American Revolutionary to the London stage. The show will reportedly take place at The Victoria Palace Theater in 2017, following the theatre’s upcoming remodel.
Hamilton is also looking for a few new faces for the Broadway show and upcoming American tour. The official Hamilton website is reporting on the amazing opportunity, writing:
“We are seeking excellent performers for our current Broadway company and upcoming National Tours. If you are an extremely skilled rapper, singer and actor, and are interested in being considered for our show, please send an email to: CASTING@HAMILTONBROADWAY.COM.
“Please include the following in your email:
“A video via an unlisted YouTube link or Vimeo that includes: a brief (under 1 minute) pop/rock song that shows your vocal range and a brief rap (under 1 minute) that shows your skill level. Please have a piano accompany you.
“A current picture and resume that includes your height and weight. Your location, contact information (cell phone # and email address) and your date of birth (if under 18).”
