Leonardo DiCaprio Believes It's His Time to Finally Win Oscar for Best Actor

Leonardo DiCaprio has been snubbed at the Oscars way too many times, so is it finally his moment to win the golden statuette for his role in The Revenant? After being so patient and humble for so long, DiCaprio is confident that it is definitely "his time" to win the coveted title.

“[Leo] is not nervous at all,” the source revealed to HollywoodLife exclusively. “He is very excited and ready to become a first-time Academy Award winner. He really can’t wait for it to happen. He is very excited and he even expects to win. Not in a cocky way but he believes that it is his time just like everyone else does.”

The 41-year-old actor's remarkable performance in The Revenant puts him as a top contender to nab the Oscar for Best Actor category. DiCaprio himself can feel that the long wait is over and he is certain that he will bring home the trophy.

“He feels that tomorrow night is going to be an amazing moment in his life,” the source told the site. “He is looking forward to taking his already out of control and amazing career to a completely different level. He hopes this is the first of many Oscars as the years go by in his acting career.”

Although Leo is confident and ready to be a first-time Oscar winner, he can't just waltz right in and grab the win because he does have some tough competition.

Other nominees for Best Actor are Matt Damon [The Martian], Eddie Redmayne [The Danish Girl], Michael Fassbender [Steve Jobs], and Bryan Cranston [Trumbo].

Whatever happens at the Oscar, Leo is already a winner even before the ceremony started. Fans and his fellow celebrities are behind him and rooting for him to win.
