Taylor Swift dropped some jaws when she donated a whopping $250,000 to Kesha amid her battle with Dr. Luke and Sony Records. Although her generosity is genuine and not a facade, it is now revealed that there is a major meaning behind her donation--one perhaps in dealing with Kanye West.
“Taylor has had her thoughts about Kanye, and if he keeps calling her out, she can’t do anything about it. He is burying his own grave,” the source told HollywoodLife exclusively. “She knows she has unbelievable support in this feud and she is humbled by it."
After the 38-year-old rapper-cum-record producer's non-stop diss, the "Bad Blood" hitmaker feels the need to protect all the women who are being mistreated by men physically and mentally.
"Taylor showed by donating to Kesha that she supports women who are attacked by men and she is so strong that she isn’t going to allow someone like Kanye to alter her path and live in any way," the source continued.
The feud with the 26-year-old superstar and West flared up again when the rapper unveiled his new track "Famous," in which he claimed that he made Swift "famous" by interrupting her on 2009 VMAs stage during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
Although West eventually apologized for his behavior at that time, he also reacted similarly in a rant via Twitter, which claimed A$AP Rocky should have won at the Grammys for Best Video and not Taylor Swift.
While Kanye can't seem to move on from his issues with Swift, Calvin Harris' multi-Grammy award winner girlfriend is definitely over the "nonsense."
"She wants to move on from this controversy," the source said. "It is becoming a waste of her time. If he continues his nonsense, she refuses to give it any life by responding.”
