Rockets Injury Report: Terrence Jones (concussion) is unlikely to play in any of the games before the All-Star Break. James Harden (hand) is listed as day-to-day.
Warriors Injury Report: Festus Ezeli (knee) is out indefinitely due to surgery.
The Houston Rockets have had a decidedly mediocre season, or as one writer from Space City Scoop put it, "They have been about as average as could be this entire season. Just when things look like they're going south for good, the team resurrects itself and plays great for a few games. Similarly, just when fans are tempted to get their hopes up, the team forgets how to play basketball and loses to subpar teams like the Denver Nuggets or the Portland Trail Blazers." And considering the powerhouse that is the Warriors team this year, it's highly improbable the Rockets will win tonight.
The Golden State Warriors not only get to play at home, but also against an average team unlikely to provide any real challenge, no doubt a plus considering the upcoming All-Star Break. But the Warriors do need to focus on dominating the Rockets tonight, as a loss to this team would be extremely disheartening right before the break.
