Rockets Injury Report: Dwight Howard (ankle) will not be playing against the Pelicans. Patrick Beverly (knee) is listed as out, but saw play against the Mavericks.
Pelicans Injury Report: Dante Cunningham (illness) is listed as probable against the Rockets.
The Houston Rockets feel confident after a pair of wins in their last two games, and no doubt look to stretch the short streak even further over in Louisiana. Part of the reason seems to be the simple fact they are making shots. James Harden said that "Guys are getting open shots. Trevor is getting open shots that he and Brew and Jet were normally getting [last season]. You get good shots, you get easy shots and the entire game changes and the fun is definitely back."
The New Orleans Pelicans are favored to win tonight, but without Eric Gordon, gone for 4-6 to recover from surgery, it will be a challenge. "Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry praised Gordon's play but said for the Pelicans to continue to win games everyone has to raise their level of play to offset not having him." And they certainly will playing a confident Rockets team.
