Neil Gaiman is going to have an electric 2016. The Hugo award-winning author of American Gods, and Sandman has not one, but two works published via Dark Horse. First, Classicalite announced that Dark Horse comics is releasing a graphic novel adaptation of Gaiman's short story, How To Talk To Girls At Parties. Now, Dark Horse Books is pleased to offer Troll Bridge, which will also receive the graphic novel adaptation treatment. Troll Bridge is to be illustrated by artist Colleen Doran (Orbiter), who has worked with Gaiman before on Sandman.
Based on a story originally published in Gaiman's Smoke and Mirrors: Short Fictions and Illusions, Troll Bridge is a tragic coming-of-age fantasy masterpiece. Troll Bridge tells the story of Jack, who lives in a world between reality and fantasy. As a young boy, Jack's world is full of ghosts, ghouls, trolls and monsters. One particular troll-a ravenous and hideous troll-would haunt him throughout his adolescent, teenage, and adult life. As the beast feeds upon a lifetime of Jack's fear and regret, Jack must find the courage within himself to face the fiend once and for all.
