In the past Adele made no secret of her not exactly being fond of her father, Marc Evans, who reportedly left her and her mother when the singer was still a child. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 27-year-old superstar has since forgiven the recovering alcoholic in the wake of his recent cancer scare. While Adele once remarked that she would spit in her father's face if she saw him again, the 53-year-old insists they have reconciled.
Adele hasn't made any official announcements about it just yet, but her father, Marc Evans, is claiming that he has finally gotten his famous daughter to forgive his not being there for her when she was a child.
Making sure not to overshare any details that his daughter might find too revealing, Marc told The Sun on Sunday that he and Adele have finally made-up (via Daily Mail):
"Adele and I are fine, it was a misunderstanding.
"We've patched things up, everything's fine, but I don't want to make further comment."
While it might seem odd that Adele has yet to make a statement about reuniting with her father, a secret source in the latest January 11, issue of OK! Magazine confirms that Adele and her dad were able to work things out after Marc learned that he might be battling bowel cancer:
"Marc was desperate to see her again, top meet Simon and their son, so he reached out, begging for forgiveness.
"They seem to have come through all those years of hurt."
