Mariah Carey Hates Adele's Album 25? [2015 NEWS]

Despite being admired for more than a decade as one of pop music's greatest voices, Mariah Carey may not quite ready to share the limelight. According to the latest gossip news updates, James Packer's girlfriend absolutely hates all the attention Adele's new album, 25, has been getting and won't even allow songs like "Hello" to be played in her presence. Meanwhile, the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" singer and her ex-husband, Nick Cannon, seem to be getting along better than ever. The America's Got Talent host recently posted a touching picture to Instagram from their family's Christmas get together.

While most people are impressed when they hear that Adele's latest album, 25, broke the record for most albums sold in the first week, the news is said to have filled Mariah Carey with even more distain for the British phenomenon.

One source in the latest December 28, issue of Star magazine claims that Mariah has made it clear to her entourage that she doesn't even want to hear the name, Adele:

"Of her music comes on, Mariah leaves the room.

"She's trying to pretend that Adele's doesn't exist, but that is becoming impossible.

"Mariah can't stand that Adele is eclipsing her to become the greatest-selling female singer of all time."

At least, Mariah doesn't seem to be holding a grudge against her almost-ex-husband, Nick Cannon.

The entertainment mogul recently posted several heartwarming pictures of his kids decorating for Christmas with him and their mom (via People):

What do you think of Mariah's supposedly hating Adele's meteoric rise to superstardom?

Should Carey learn to make way for the very talented singers that are inevitably going to surpass her as she continues to get older?

Or, is it just as healthy for Carey to pretend that it's still 1996 and she is the only performer in the world?

Let us hear what you have to say about it in the comment field below.
